Volcano Vista High School dances are for Volcano Vista students and their dates only. The dances are for those students in good standing. Any student who is suspended at the time of the dance or who withdrew from VVHS not in good standing may not attend. There are a few rules which all students and their guests will follow while in attendance.
1. All Volcano Vista students must show ticket and SCHOOL ID in order to be admitted to the dance.
2. All non-Volcano Vista dates must bring a PHOTO ID to the dance. This ID will be left with the ticket taker at the door upon entering the dance and will be released at the time of departure.
3. We do not refund tickets.
Tickets are nontransferable
No ID, No entrance!!! No exception!!!
4. The following age restrictions apply:
A. No one over the age of twenty (20) may attend a Volcano Vista sponsored dance.
B. Guests must be at least in the ninth (9th) grade.
C. Each student may bring one (1) guest.
4. All Volcano Vista students and their guests must abide by all Volcano Vista and APS rules.
5. No backpacks are allowed into the dance; purses & belongings may be searched.
6. Please do not bring glow sticks, glow bracelets, glow necklaces, etc. (They ruin the gym floor)
7. Homecoming tickets will be sold only to Volcano Vista students.
Homecoming is a semi-formal event. Therefore, students must wear dressy clothing. Denim pants, hats and athletic wear (including tennis shoes) are not acceptable. Boys should wear a collared dress shirt (tucked in) with tie and dress slacks and may wear vests or blazers. Girls should wear a dress or pant suit. Clothing must fit properly and be in good taste. Those improperly attired will not be admitted to the dance and will not receive a refund for tickets purchased.
All dancing must be upright and appropriate. No twerking, grinding or other lewd or suggestive style of dance will be tolerated. Any infractions of this policy will result in a warning and then dismissal from the dance. There will be no refunds.
Students are to arrive at least one hour before the close of the dance (10pm). Once admitted into the dance, students and guests are not allowed to “come and go.” You are not allowed to leave to go to your car for forgotten items. Remember to bring those items with you when you enter. Water and rest rooms are available inside the dance area. You will not be readmitted if you leave the dance.
A Coat Check and water are available for a small fee.
A PhotoBooth will be available for all students at no charge.
Breathalyzer will be used as necessary.
